Wellbeing encompasses a multidimensional concept, "Wow big word", related to an individual’s physical, mental, and social health, emphasising the overall quality of life.
It refers to the state in which a person feels healthy, happy, and satisfied, both within themselves and in their relationships with others and the environment.
"Wellbeing encompasses a lot which makes it hard to pin point where to start and what to do to look after yourself. So let make it simple: Take care of your body, move your mind and dance with your friends"
Physical wellbeing "or taking care of your body" involves maintaining proper nutrition, regular exercise, adequate rest, and overall bodily health.
Mental wellbeing "or moving your mind" encompasses emotional resilience, a positive mindset, and the ability to cope with stress and challenges effectively.
Social wellbeing "or dancing with your friends" refers to feeling a sense of connection, belonging, and support within relationships and communities.
Beyond these dimensions, wellbeing also encompasses factors such as financial stability, a sense of purpose and fulfilment, and a positive environment that promotes personal growth and development. "This is where I start to come in!"
Overall, wellbeing is not merely the absence of illness but represents a holistic state of thriving and flourishing in various aspects of life, contributing to a fulfilling and meaningful existence.
